Jan Del Sesto came to Florida from Boston, where she spent decades as a manager, CEO, and consultant to nonprofit organizations, foundations, philanthropists, and corporations. She created and managed communications and development departments and led strategic planning designed to measure both quantitative and qualitative results. The strategic plan of the organization she last led is taught as a best-practice case study at Harvard Business School.
A birder and life-long animal lover and champion, she considers SFWC to be the most satisfying professional and personal opportunity she has had the privilege to take on in her career. To enable elderly neighbors to keep their beloved pets, Jan walks dogs, feeds cats and birds, and brings them to their vet appointments.
