Become a Road Warrior Volunteer at South Florida Wildlife Center: Make a Difference in Wildlife Conservation!
As a Road Warrior or Wildlife Transporter, you play a vital role in the rehabilitation and release process of our precious wildlife patients. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals who can provide transportation assistance for injured animals in need. Your help ensures that these animals receive the timely care they require and that they are safely released back into the wild when they are ready.
As a Road Warrior, you will be responsible for responding to calls from concerned citizens who have found injured or orphaned wildlife. These animals may include birds, mammals, or reptiles in distress. Your compassion and quick response are crucial in providing them with the help they need. Your duties may involve safely capturing the animal, using appropriate equipment and techniques, and transporting it to South Florida Wildlife Center. This critical step ensures that the animal receives immediate attention and increases its chances of recovery.
Once the animals have received the necessary care and have reached a stage where they are ready to be released back into the wild, your role as a Road Warrior continues. You will have the unique privilege of transporting these rehabilitated animals to their release site, ensuring they are given the best chance of a successful return to their natural habitat. This part of the role allows you to witness the culmination of the rehabilitation process firsthand. It is a truly rewarding experience to see these animals regain their freedom and thrive in the wild once again.
