Sponsorship in Action: Fueling Wildlife Rescue and Conservation at SFWC

Cleaning Up the Coast with Rock The Ocean

In February, we proudly partnered with Rock The Ocean for our 2025 Winter Beach Cleanup at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park in Dania Beach. The event brought together over 200 passionate volunteers who removed more than 200 pounds of waste from the shoreline.

This partnership went far beyond picking up litter—it sparked education, action, and hope:

Our SFWC team led an educational talk on the impact of pollution on marine life like seabirds and sea turtles.
Several rehabilitated seabirds were released back into the wild, symbolizing resilience and restoration.
Volunteers left not only with cleaner hands but with a deeper understanding of how their actions protect our planet.

We’re excited to continue this collaboration with Rock The Ocean during our Summer Beach Clean-Up on July 12th—and we invite everyone to join in the effort.
